ColorBlock Garden Design: New England Perennials

About the event
Landscape Architect and Creator of ColorBlock Garden Design Cards, Elizabeth Dudley will demonstrate how to use her cards to design the garden of your dreams. During class, Elizabeth will demonstrate how to use the ColorBlock Garden Design Cards: New England Perennials Zones 3-8 deck of cards. She will show you how to evaluate the site of a garden, and match plants to those needs by sun conditions, soil types, drainage, height and width for placement in the border, and more. Then, you'll be asked to design two sample gardens of your own: one for sun and one for shade. In addition to showing how to “color block” plants through the garden, each deck includes color wheels for pastel or jewel-toned palettes. Each of the perennials suggested on these cards has been field-tested by Elizabeth for a New England garden.
